Crime figures, we are pleased to say, have shown a steady decline this year, apart from the slight blip in August. I ( source WYPA Beatcrime website).
The village now has a dedicated Police Community Service Officer, Kenneth Short, who can now be seens regularly patrolling the area. The Parish Council have entered an agreement with the West Yorkshire Police Authority to finance his presence in the village until the end of March 2009.
